HAURAKI PLAINS WANTS A RAILWAY
When the Minister of Public Works, the Hon. K. S. Williams, was at Paeroa on Thursday, a deputation urged that an immediate start should be made with he Paeroa-Pokeno railway. It was stated that this railway would assist the development of the Hauraki Plains by providing a shorter route to Auckland. The deputation specially urged the construction in the meantime of the first half-mile of the railway from Paeroa to Ngahina wharf.
