Esther Ralston played her first part for Paramount in "Huckleberry Finn.” A 1 Cohn will adapt ‘‘The Butter and Egg Man” lor Jack Mulhall. William Haines will be a newspaper reporter in a comedy romance. "He Learned About Women." Lowell Sherman is the first actor cast in “The Whip,” adapted from the nrnrv Lane melodrama. John Francis Dillon will direct. If the “hoo-doo” numeral 13 is considered unlucky by some, Albert Ray making “Thief in the Dark,” a mystery drama .for Fox Films, fears it not, or, if he does, facts concerning this production do not show it. He began shooting on February 13. In the first scene a black cat walked across the set. Turning around after completing
the first scene, Ray looked into the eyes of a visitor on the set—the eyes were crossed, hardly a good omen to some showmen. To top this off, there are 13 players with important roles in this picture, and one of them is handled by Gwen Lee, who is one of 13 Wampas Raby Stars for 1925.
