“CHANG” FOR MUSEUM
SEALED FOR FIFTY YEARS "Chang,” taken by the intrepid Cooper and Schoedsack in the jungles of Siam, reposes in the British Museum. After a number of expert scientists and zoologists had seen this production, they declared that in fifty years’ time many of the animals seen therein would have become extinct. It is with this possibility in view that Paramount Pictures offered a copy of the film, together with a set of records of animal sounds taken in the London Zoo, to the British Museum. It is placed in a casket, deposited in the vaults, and will not be opened for fifty years. When the seal is broken in 1977, the film will have a greater educational value than now. “Chang” will be presented at the Xew Regent Theatre on Friday next.
