ROTORUA V. PARNELL

VISITORS DO WELL (From Our Oicn Correspondent) ROTORUA, To-day. The annual cricket match Rotorua v. Parnell was commenced in fine weather yesterday. There was a good attendance of the public, and the ground was in good order. In the first innings Parnell made 290 (Gee 63, Murray 66, Luke 43, J. Mills not out 40). Responding, Rotorua made a poor showing, three wickets being down for 30, God sail being topscorer with 16. On resuming this morning, Rotorua faced a bowlers wicket, and God sail, after making four, sliced one to Mills in the slips. Rain fell early this morning, but indications point to fair weather.
