TO-DAY’S PLAY
With two wickets down for 91, North Auckland continued batting against Auckland at Eden Park this morning. A. R. Dunning took his overnight score of 44 to 09 before he was clean-bowled by Player. Vipord filled the vacancy, but was run out when he had scored two. 155—4—2. Anderson followed shortly after, caught by Duncan off Saunders. Wrathall stemmed the tide for a time, but Coates, who was swinging the ball in from the scoreboard end, took away his leg pin. Kemp was 20 not out when stumps were drawn yesterday, and he brought his half-century up with a single off Coates. I-Te had batted 2 hours 40 minutes. A quiet period of play followed, and then Kemp off-drove Coates to the fence. A little later he turned Taylor nicely to the leg-boundary. Thompson was out lbw to Coates for none. 198 —9—o. At the luncheon adjournment N. Auckland had lost nine wicket's for 204 (Kemp 68 not out). Details: NORTH AUCKLAND First Innings W.
