MATCHES- AT PANMURE
The match for Mr. F. H. Sec- j combe’s aneroid barometer drew - j entries at the Auckland Gun Ciub a j shoot held at Panmure yesterday. Dr. Claunch (America), 28 yards, S. Roberts, 22 yards, and D. Cairns, 22 yards, shot the possible of 20, and divided the sweepstake. Dr. Claunch was not eligible for the trophy and the other two shot off, Roberts winning on the 21st round. Twenty-one shooters competed in the first'match, which fvas divided by A- Dobson (53yds), A. H. Fellow (24 yds), A. Hannigan (22yds), I. Lomas (22yds) and H. E. KLnight (21yds), with the possible of 5. At the conclusion of the shooting Mr. : W. Curtis, on behalf of the remaining i members of the old Ellerslie Gun Club, l presented the Leonard Marshall Cup to | Mr. J. Williamson, who was the last i winner of same in 1303. The annual picnic of the club will be held at Panmure to-morrow.
