FIRES AT KAITAIA
TWO HOUSES BURNED FAMILY’S HURRIED EXIT (From Our Otcn Correspondent.) KAITAIA, To-day. During the early hours of th ! s morning the homestead of Mr. Kenneth Adams, a young farmei of Kauri Flat, was burned to the ground, everything being lost, including insurance policies. Mrs. Adams and the children escaped in their night attire. The insurances were in the 1.0. A., £275 being on the furniture and £275 on the house. At 8 p.m. yesterday the residence of Mr. W. C. H. Wigley. of Kaitaia, was burned to the ground. Mr. and Mrs. Wigley and maid were at the pictures at the time. The furniture was insured for £l5O.
