EIGHT MILLION TOTAL A SENATOR’S ESTIMATE By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. Reed. 9 a.m. WASHINGTON, Monday. Senator Henrick Shipstead, who represents the Farmer-Labour Party from Minnesota, estimated that the unemployment throughout the United States totalled over 8,000,000, on a basis of the Labour Department figures, which, he said, showed a 32.6 decrease in employment since 1920. — A. and NJZ.
