Palmerston North, Hastings, and Napier (letters only), 5 p.m. Southern Offices of New Zealand (also Gisborne and Tokomaru Bay), 5.30 p.m. Port Fitzroy, Whangapara, Tryphena, etc., 7.45 p.m. EASTER HOLIDAY ARRANGEMENTS, 1928 Postal Branch Thursday, April 5. — A delivery of town letters (registered as well as ordinary) will be made from the postmen's branch, first floor, from. 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Good Friday, April 6.—Will be observed as a Sunday. Mails usually dispatched on Friday will close at 8 p.m. the previous day, with the exception that mails for Southern offices for dispatch by the Main Trunk expresses will close at 5 p.m. and 5.30 p.m. as usual. Saturday, April 7.—The usual hours of attendance will be observed in all branches. An over-counter delivery of correspondence will be made from the postmen's branch between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. Easter Monday. April 9.—Will be observed as a close holiday. All mails will close at 4 a.m. with the exception of those by the Main Trunk Expresses. which will close at 5 pjn. and 5.30 p.m. The night clearance of street letter boxes will be made on all days except Thursday and Saturday. There will be no delivery by postmen on Good Friday or Easter Monday. Late Fee letters for Southern offices of New Zealand may be posted in the late fee box at the entrance to the station platform up to 7.35 p.m. Telegraph Branch The following hours of attendance will be observed:— Good Friday.—lo a.m. to 10.30 a.m., and 5 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. Easter Saturday.—Usual hours of ntendance.
