MANUKAU UNION STARTS MATCHES ON APRIL 21 The annual meeting of the Manukau Rugby Union has been held at Papakura, and the following officers have been elected for the ensuing season: Patron, Mr. J. Heard; representative on Referees’ Association, Mr. T. Hyde; delegates to South Auckland Union, Messrs. S. Wilson and R. Flanagan. ' It was decided to open the competitions on Saturday, April 21, the draw for the first round to be as follows; Seniors.—April 21, Hunua v. Clevedon, Papakura v. Drury; April -28, Clevedon v. Papakura, Hunua v. Drury’ May 5, Drury v. Clevedon, Hunua v Papakura. Juniors.—April 21, Clevedon v. Hunua, Drury v. Papakura; April 2S, Papakura v. Clevedon, Drury v. HunuaMay 5, Clevedon v. Drury, Paoakura v. Hunua. It was agreed to arrange a match between the Manukau representative team and an Auckland club team for April 14 if possible.
