OLD MAN HURT IN FALL FROM CLIFF
SLIPPED WHILE CLIMBING When he fell 15 feet from the cliffs at Point Chevalier yesterday afternoon Mr. John Hodgkinson fractured his pelvis. He was rushed to the Auckland Hospital by the St. John Ambulance and is now progressing favourably. Mr. Hodgkinson, who is 79 years old. was climbing on the cliff face and was about half way up when he slipped. Four men had a difficult task to move him from the rocks, as the serious nature of his injury made careful handling essential. He was hauled up the cliff on a stretcher. He lives in St. Michael’s Avenue. Point Chevalier.
