The First Fog.—The dull boom of the harbour siren this morning l proclaimed the arrival of the first fog of the sea- ! son. It crept in from the west at about 5 o’clock. The siren was started at 6 o’clock to warn shipping, but the fog was not sufficiently heavy to cause any delay. At 7.30 the last of the fog had disappeared into the i air.
