WEST CONOB ARRIVES. —The .Ame-rican-Australia-Orient Line steamer West Conob, recently taken over with the other vessels of the company's fleet by the Oceanic Oriental Navigation Company, arrived in the stream at Auckland at three o’clock yesterday afternoon with 6,300 tons of cargo, including 15,550,000 ft. of lumber from Pacific Coast ports of America, and berthed at Central Wharf. The cargo was loaded at Portland. Vancouver, .Seattle, San Francisco and San Pedro, and the vessel sailed finally from San Pedro on March S and experienced generally fair weather on the voyage. The vessel, which made two voyages from Pacific Coast ports to Auckland last year, has 1,660 tons of cargo for this port. Captain J. H. Hansen is in command, and he has with him the following officers:—Chief, Mr. C. H. Wickman; second, Mr. L. A. Petersen; third, Mr. E. Schulz; chief engineer, Mr. C. J. Sjolund; first assistant, Mr. A. R. Macmurchy; second, Mr. C. K. Badliajn: third, Mr. M. Glucksohn; chief steward, Mr. A. L. Larsen; wireless operator, Mr. M. A. Hauge. The vessel’s local agents. Messrs. Henderson and Mac-farlane, Ltd., advise that the West Conob is to be dispatched from Auckland on Thursday evening next for Wellington, Dunedin and Bluff* to complete putting out her cargo.
