The battle of wits between Scotland Yard and the master “crook” is an evergreen, inexhaustible theme for the novel and the stage, and “The Pwinger" is a dramatised version of one of Edgar Wallace’s most popular and roo?t thrilling detective yarns. Of its xyp* this mystery play is said to be a mas* terpiece. It has real mystery, abundant humour, and swiftly-moving inri* dent.
