LABOURER AND COOK REMANDED FOR SENTENCE Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, To-day. At the Magistrate’s Court to-day George Tretheway, aged 31, and John Brisbane, 36, appeared to answer nine charges of breaking and entering, a charge of attempting to break and enter, one of unlawfully converting a car to their own use, one charge of interfering with a public telephone, and another of smashing an electric bulb. Tretheway is a labourer and Brisbane is a cook. The minor charges were soon disposed of, both prisonei* pleading guilty. Sentence was deferred on all the more serious 10 charges, and the prisoners were remanded till April 3.
