Lady Inchcape, wife of Viscount Inchcape, the shipping magnate who with her husband has been visiting Egypt, was on the way home, but had to be landed at Marseilles owing to illness. Her condition is reported to be precarious.—A. and N.Z. Lady Inchape, formerly Miss Jane Paterson, of Arbroath, is the mother of the Hon Elsie Mackay, who has been missing since she started upon an attempt to fly across the Atlantic with Captain Hinchcliffe. It was stated at the time of Miss Mackay’s disappearance that the mother’s health was so bad that she was not informed of her daughter’s adventure.
