A.R.C. AUTUMN FIXTURE OPENS NEXT SATURDAY SPLENDID ACCEPTANCES The autumn fixture of the Auckland Racing' Club is to be held on Easter Saturday and Monday, April 7 and if. This is one of the most popular meetings of the Dominion’s leading club, and together with the fact that the racing extends over a week-end lioli- j day, attracts very large attendances. The opening day is to-morrow week, and when the acceptances closed « afternoon it was realised that the first day at least was going to provide a series of thrilling contests. The Easter Handicap has drawn a brilliant field of sprinters and middle j distance performers, and the sweepstake condition attached has resulted in keeping the number down to reasonable proportions. The classics in particular have filled very well, and the Champagne Stakes and St. Leger promise to furnish historical contests. The acceptances are as follow for Saturday next. PRESIDENT’S HANDICAP
