PORT HUNTER SAI LS.—Shortly before 7 o’clock this morning the C. and D. Line’s steamer Port Hunter was dispatched from Wellington for London, via Panama. ROTORUA FOR HOME. —At 3 p.m. on Monday, the New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Rotorua leaves Wellington with passengers, mails and cargo for Southampton and London, via Panama. DIOMEDE AND NUCULA.—H.M.S, Diomede and the Admiralty oil-tanker Nucula sailed from Suva for Auckland yesterday. The Diomede is due on Monday and the Nucula on Tuesday. CAMBRIDGE SAI LI NG.—Early this afternoon the New Zealand Shipping Company hoped to dispatch the Federal steamer Cambridge from Auckland for London, Avonmouth, Glasgow and Liverpool, via Panama. KARTIGI’S MOVEMENTS.—The Union Company advises that the Kartigi, which is due at Auckland to-morrov/ from Westport, will berth at the Sheerlegs Wharf and, after discharge, will probably proceed to Newcastle to load for Auckland. WESTMORELAND TO LOAD.—The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Westmoreland, at present completing her discharge at New Plymouth, will commence loading at the Taranaki port, and will leave there on Tuesday to load also at Nelson, Wanganui roadstead, Wellington, and Auckland to fill up. TAMAROA LEAVES HOME. —The ! Shaw, Savill nd Albion steamer Tamaroa is reported to have sailed from Tendon on March 29 with cargo for 'Wellington and Auckland. The vessel is due at the capital on May 5. THE RUAPEHU.—The New Zealu: -i Shipping Company advises that the Ruapehu left Timaru last evening for Lyttelton and Wellington, to fill up. Thvessel is due at Wellington next Tuesday, and will sail finally from that pori at noon next Thursday for Southampton and London, via Panama. THE CANADIAN HIGHLANDER.— . The Canadian National Stea hips advises that the Canadian Highlander w : il now leave Lyttelton to-day for Napier j and Auckland, to pick up the remainder 1 of her cargo for Now York. Boston and Montreal. The vessel will sail finally from Auckland next Thursday. KING EGBERT DUE TO-MORROW. — With a full cargo of basic slag for dis- j charge at Auckland, the new motor-ship ; King Egbert is due here to-morrow | morning from Antwerp. NEW SHAW-SAVILL LINER.—The’ new Shaw, Savill and Albion motor-ship, which was to be named the Canberric. will now be named the. Coptic, after a steamer which was popular in the Nov. Zealand and Australian service som years ago. The new vessel is scheduled to leave Liverpool for New Zealand on June 3, WEST CONOB DUE TO-MORROW.— Due at Auckland at 1 p.m. to-morrow from the Pacific Coast, the American j steamer West Conob will later berth at t the Central Wharf to unload the local j portion of her cargo. After discharge here, the West Conob proceeds to Well- j ington, Dunedin, Bluff and Adelaide to complete. Henderson and Macfarlane will act as the local agents for the vessel. THE QUEEN ELEANOR.—CabIed advice has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company that the Queen Eleanor arrived at Ne\v York on April 7 with general cargo to discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. . She is due at Auckland about May 13. HERMINIUS DELAYED.—Due at Bluff to-day from Port Chalmers, the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company advises that the Aberdeen-White Star steamer Mcrminius later proceeds to Wellington to complete her loading. She is now to sail from Wellington finally on April 11 for London, Avonmouth, Glasgow and Liverpool, via Panama. KIA ORA ARRIVING.—An expected arrival at Auckland this afternoon about lc4’clock is the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Ivia Ora (CaptaAin Kenworthy) from Liverpool with cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. The vessel is to berth at the Queen’s Wharf and A. S. Paterson and Company will act as the local agents. KINTYRE FROM OCEAN ISLAND.— With a full cargo of 7,000 tons of pnosphates from Ocean Island, the McMurchi and Greenlees steamer, Kintyre, arrived at Auckland at half-past ten last evening and berthed at King’s Wharf this morning to commence discharge. The Kintyre was at Auckland last in 1925, and discharged a cargo of phosphates from the island at New Plymouth and Wanganui last month. She proceeded thence to Westport for bunkers, and then to Ocean Island to load her present cargo. The vessel jailed from Ocean Island on March 19, and is thus a day overdue in reaching Auckland. The weather on the way down was rough at times, and strong south-westerly winds delayed the Kintyre’s progress. The Kintyre was built 21 years ago for the Den Line and traded for many years in the East. With the advent of the Great War the Kintyre was taken over by the Admiralty and converted into an auxiliary cruiser, with a speed of 17 knots. After the cessation of hostilities the vessel was taken over by her preesnt owners and traded for two years in the coal and grain trade between River Plate and the Continent. She was then chartered for four years by Andrew Weir in the phosphate trade from the islands to Australia and New Zealand. Captain D. A. Addison is in command of the Kintyre, and associated with him are the following officers :Chief, Mr. R. B. Bain; second, Mr. J. G. Finlay; third, Mr. J. O. Bowie; chief engineer, Mr. T. H. Gibson; second, Mr. G. W. Bowen; third. Mr. J. Pringle; fourth, Mr. R. Mac Lean; wireless operator, Mr. V. Armstrong. Henderson and Macfarlane, Ltd., the local agents, advise that they expect to dispatch the Kintyre about Thursday evening next for Wanganui to put out the remaining 3,000 tons of her cargo. TRANSPACIFIC CARGO STEAMERS. —The Union Company advises the following movements of steamers engaged in the trans-Pacific cargo services; The Hauraki will clear Sydney on April 7 for Honolulu, Vancouver and San Francisco. The Waihemo left Los Angeles on March 13 for Auckland. Wellington, New Plymouth, Melbourne and Sydney. She is due at Auckland on April 6. The Waikawa left Bluff yesterday for Auckland, where she is due on Tuesday. She will proceed thence on April 4 to Honolulu and Vancouver. The Waiotapu, from Newcastle, via Suva, left Fanning Island at 11 p.m. on Tuesday last, and is due at Vancouver on April 11. She will proceed thence to Powell River, Union Bay, Ocean Falls. San Francisco and Los Angeles, to load for Papeete, Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney. The Wairuna is expected to clear Ocean Falls, British Columbia, to-day for San Francisco direct, to complete loading for Auckland. Wellington, Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney. The Waitemata, from Wellington, arrived at Melbourne on Thursday, and will proceed thence on Monday to Sydney, to complete discharge of her inward cargo. The forward loading dates at the Pacific Coast are approximately as follow: The Hauraki will load at Vancouver and San Francisco early in May for Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney. The Waikawa will load at Vancouver, San Francisco and Los Angeles early in May for Apig,, Napier, New Plymouth, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Bluff. The Waitemata will load at Vancouver, San Francisco and Los Angeles during May, for Auckland, Wellington, Melbourne and Sydney. The Waihemo will load at Vancouver and San Francisco during June for New Zealand and Australian ports. The Wairuna wiH load at Vancouver and San Francisco in July for Auckland and New Zealand outports. The Waiotapu will load at Vancouver and San Francisco in July for Wellington and Australian ports.

The vessel will clear Los Angeles to-day for Auckland, Lyttdten and Wellington, being due here on April WIRRALL FROM U.S.A.—Cabled news has been received by the New Zeeland Shipping Company that the A. and A. Line chartered steamer Wirrall left New York last Saturday afternoon and Newport News on Monday, with general cargo to discharge at Levuka, Suva, Auckland. Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin.
