Reindeer Demand Waitakere Moss

Common red deer and ill-bred antelope may be satisfied xcith zoo hash, but nothing but verdant moss, gathered freshly from the Waitakeres, will satisfy the lour reindeer imported by the Auckland Zoo. The reindeer turned up their noses very decidedly at the antelope fare. They had moss on the ship and they insist on having their usual winter fare here. The result is that an expedition has to hunt for moss in the ranges. The curator hopes that eventually the reindeer tcill become less supercilious and consent to live on the ordinary meals provided .
