COLLEEN MOORE WILL PLAY LEAD IN “LILAC TIME”
3cfore Colleen Moore acts in “Lilac Time,” the famous stage success of Jane Cowl will undergo screen revision at the hands of Adela Rogers St. Johns, novelist, and Willis Goldbeck, author of a dozen successful scenarios. “Lilac Time” is a war play that ha i been described as the sweetest ro mance to appeal on the American stage in years. Preliminary plant for its filming as one of Mis s Moore’s 1927 - 2S group of features have been under way for months. George Fitzmaurice will direct. Goldbeck, in addition to working With Mrs. St. Johns on the treatment, will prepare the continuity. He has spent several years in France, and is familiar with the locale. His scripts include “Peter Pan.” “Flower of the flight,” “Mare Nostrum,” “Scaramonche” and several others.
