"Grundy v. Undie"

Shareholders of a textile company who assembled in the Piccadilly Hotel , London, recently, to hear the year’s story of their collective investment, gasped . to see a flapper clad only in the silkiest and daintiest of lingerie dash through the board room pursued by a female in white stockings, and red flannel petticoat and corseted like .a d-readnought. The little playlet was entitled “Grundy v. Undie,” and was portion of a display to trace the evolution of “undies'’ through the ages—not going quite so far back as Eve—from pantalettes of flannel to shimmering transpar cut and abbreviated silk.
