PRODUCERS OF “CHANG”
INVADED BY PYTHON An expedition such as that undertaken by TVlerian Cooper and Ernest Sehoedsack for the making of “Chang” must indeed be filled with thrills and deeds of daring that the camera’s eye would not catch. At one time three of. the men with the party were bitten by pythons, which are not poisonous, but grow to great length and enormous girth. One night, a twenty foot python invaded Schoedsack’s room, which, like the native houses seen in the picture, was thirty feet above the ground. After a search for about ten minutes in the darkened room, they found the snake curled up in a corner, occupying a remarkably small space for such a big fellow. The title of the recently completed Ramon Novarro starring vehicle dealing with romance in a mythical kingdom has been changed from “His Night” to “Forbidden Hours.” Harry Beaumont directed and Renee Adoree. Roy D’Arcy, Dorothy dimming, Shirley O’Hara and Alberta Vaughan appear in the cast.
