TRAVELLING ESPERANTIST Addressing the Auckland Esperanto ; s f oc ,' atl °" recently. Mr. Edmond Zchiele, who is travelling round the world on behalf of the movement descnbed as the most striking feature oi his travels the strength of the Esperantists in China and Japan. Mr. Zchiele, who is a master of six languages, was induced to learn Esperanto while in Central Russia, and from then onward, his linguistic troubles when travelling in foreign countries ceased to exist. Everywhere he went, Mr. Zchiele found Esperanto consuls, who made themselves personally responsible for their visitor’s comfort. Several subscriptions have been sent to Mr. Zchiele to enable him to see something of the Dominion, and it has been decided to send him to Rotorua. By the courtesy of The Sun management the traveller will journey to Hamilton and back by Sun service car.
