MAN OF MANY SECRETS By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. LONDON, Wednesday. Tlie death has occurred of Sir Charles Russell, the well-known solicitor. Deceased was the guardian of the secrets of half England’s prominent social people. He acted for the Marquess of Queensbury in the Wilde trial. —A. and N.Z. The late Sir Charles Russell, second son of Lord Russell, of Killowen, was born in London in 1863. He was educated at Beaumont College, near Windsor. He enjoyed a distinguished career in the legal world. In 1893 he acted as solicitor for the British Agent in the Behring Sea Arbitration between Britain and the United States. Later he was appointed solicitor to tb 2 Government of Canada. He also held office as solicitor for the Jockeys’ anu Stewards’ Club; chairman of the Board of Management of the Hospital of St. John and St. Elizabeth; chairman of the Collections Committee of the British Red Cross Society. Sir Charles was created a baronet in 1916.
