CHILDREN’S WARD

ADDITION TO TARANAKI HOSPITAL A children's ward is to be built shortly by the Taranaki Hospital Board. A New Plymouth resident has promised £6,000, which, together with thq Government subsidy, will be sufficient to erect the building. The chairman of the board, Mr. M. Frazer, and Dr. J. M. Clarke, medical superintendent, arrived in yesterday, to inspect the children’s ward of the Public Hospital. They left for an inspection of the Waikato Hospital at Hamilton this morning.
