SWIMMING AT MT. EDEN

DE LOREE’S CUCKSEY CUP A series of club events were coxyducted in the Mount Eden baths last evening by the Mount Eden Swimming Club, chief of which was the 440yds race for the Cucksey Cup. This event was keenly contested and resulted in a win by R. de Loree, on scratch, by six yards in six minutes from C. Witten, 42sec, and E. Belham, 48sec. De Loree has now won the 220yds Weston Cup, and the 880yds Brewer Cup, a performance that speaks well for this clever young swimmer.

The diving championship for the Heretaunga Cup was won by A. Denness.
