Robert Sproull Hutton Menzies, aged ■3B years, pleaded guilty in the Magistrate’s Court to-day to the theft of £990 from the firm of Scott and Menzies, in which he was Joint managing director. Menzies had been in financial difficulties from the commencement 3f the business in 1926, and had used the firm’s money for his own purposes, by making out fictitious dockets, to meet which, cheques were drawn. He was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. Bail was allowed.
