DIES IN BUSH
WOUNDED CAMPER S FATE HELP ARRIVES TOO LATE Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesday. The body of the young man, Andrew Neil Henderson, who was left seriously wounded by an accidental rifle discharge in a mountain camp in the bush 50 miles from Oxford on Monday, v,as to-day found by the relief party which set out from Oxford to bring him home. Henderson had died of his wound during the afternoon. When the accident happened Henderson’s companion, Colin Bassett, tended his wounds and hurried off for help. A party was organised and with Dr. Burnett set out for the camp. This party set out on Monday afternoon, but missed the track and were walking until three o’clock this morning. Another party went in from another direction and arrived a.t the camp during the night, but found Henderson dead. Ho rough is the country ana so difficult the task that the men are not expected to bring the body out until to-day.
