MAJESTIC
“TEA FOR THREE”
Sparkling comedy, variety and excellent music are once again the principal features of the current programme at the Majestic Theatre. “Tea For Three,” an amusing comedydrama, starring Lew Cody and Aileen Pringle, is the chief pictorial attraction.
“Tea For Three” is the last word in sophisticated comedy—modern, colourful, thrilling! Not a dull moment in it. Never before have such magnificent yachting scenes been presented in comedy as distinguish this scintillating gem of entertainment. A popular costarring team, a clever director, great supporting players and a peppy story. A most delightful musical programme is provided by Mr. J. Whiteford Waugh and his Majestic Orchestra, who give a special musical programme of light musical gems, including “No, No, Nanette,” “Rose Marie,” “Kissing Time,” “You’re in Love,” and “Belle of New York.” Miss Margaret McKenzie Aitken, who appears on the stage, is proving very popular. In a contralto voice of rare purity, Miss Aitken sings “The. Banks of Allen Water” and “My Ain Folk. A special feature of the supporting programme Is “The Art Treasures of the Vatican,” showing world-famous masterpieces by da Vinci and Murillo, and beautiful Greeiv statuary. An interesting Majestic Magazine, a short film entitled “New Zealand News and Views,” an Eve’s Review, and a screamingly funny Our Gang comedy, “Heebeo Jeebees,” conclude a notable programme.
