CUTTING THE CURVES

MT. EDEN’S FAST MOTORS There were several exclamations of mild surprise around the Mount Eden Borousii Council table last evening, when the engineer (Mr. J. Rogers) reported that two curves between Fairview Road and Milton Road had been realigned. This, he said, would enable motorists to travel much quicker. One or two councillors began explaining that the present speed was quite fast enough, when the Major (Mr E H Potter) reassured them .by explaining: “The motorists have to travel under the new regulations now, so there will be a watch kept on speeding.”
