WANGANUI RIVER FALLING
EFFECT OF DRY SEASON (Special to THE SUN) WANGANUI, Monday. The dry season being experienced is reflected in the volume of water coming down the river. At to-day’s meeting of the River Trust, Supervisor T. W. Downes reported that, during the month of February, the river fell, until on February 21 the Pipiriki “mark” registered 41Sin below standard. The lowest level hitherto recorded was in 1911, when 44in below the mark was registered.
