MISSION FROM BRITAIN WILL VISIT AUSTRALIA
MIGRATION AND INDUSTRY By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright Reed. 9.5 a.m. LONDON, Monday. In the House of Commons, replying to Mr. J. B. Couper, Conservative member for Maryhill, Mr. L. S. Amery, Secretary of State for the Dominions, said at the request of Australia arrangements had been made for a mission consisting of Sir Harry McGowan, Sir Hugo Hirst, Sir Ernest Clark and Mr. Dougal Malcolm to leave in August for Australia. The mission is to confer with the Federal and State Governments on the development of a migration commission ,with leaders of industry and commerce on the development of' Australian resources, and any other matters of mutual economic interest tending toward the promotion of a mutual trade increase, and the settlement of Australia. The tour would occupy six months. —A. and N.Z.
