RECORD OF YEAR’S WORK VALUABLE SERVICES Interesting information concerning the activities of the St. John Ambulance Brigade is contained in the annual report for the Dominion which has just been issued by the Chief Commissioner for New Zealand, Colonel G. Barclay. The membership of 1,408 shows an increase of 400 during 12 months, including the establishment of 13 new divisions. Several others are being contemplated. The increased interest shown by the general public was taken as an excellent sign, and it hoped that even greater advantage would be taken of the facilities 'offered by the brigade. The services rendered during the year totalled 21,629, compared with 16,139 the previous year. This covered firstaid cases treated, cases nursed privatel* by women membres, hospital attendances, and transport of the sick and injured. While on duty at public functions no fewer than 10,192 cases of first-aid were treated by brigade members, and 10,075 casesc were treated by -bridage memcase were treated by brigade memdivision gave their services on 297 occasions.
