NEW PROGRAMME TO-NIGHT The new picture at the Capitol Theatre to-night will be “Mockery,” starring Lon Chaney, which is a story based on the days of the Red Terror in Russia. His peasant role is portrayed with striking realism and many vicissitudes overtake him when he aids a young countess, whom he learns to love, before a dramatic termination is reached. Ricardo Cortez has the role of Dimitri, a young White Russian officer,
which he plays I with outstanding I merit, while BarI bara Bedford apI pears as the beau- | tiful young: countess I for whose love I both the peasant, I Sergei, and the | officer, Dimitri, | tight a strange I and grim battle. I Others appearing I in the cast are Emily Fitzroy, Mark Swain and
Mack Swam ana Charles Puffy. Benjamin Christensen ably directed “Mockery," including in the presentation many awe-inspiring scenes and abundant incidents of a blood-tingling nature. “Her Wild Oats,” starring Colleen Moore, will also be shown.
