The Hauraki Plains Tennis Association’s annual tourney, which has been dragging on for some weeks, is now completed, the full list of winners being as follows: THE CHAMPIONSHIPS Men’s Singles.—S. Coppins, Ngatea; runner-up, V. O’Connor, Patetonga. Prize, the Ford Cup and miniatui-e, presented by the association. Women’s Singles.—Miss Barb. Dutty, Patetonga; runner-up, Mrs. 1. Clotworthy, Turua. Prize, the “Hauraki Plains Gazette” Cup and miniature. Men’s Doubles. —Coppins Bros., Ngatea; runners-up, W. Murphy and D. C. McMillan, Hopai. Prizes, trophies donated by the association. THE HANDICAPS Men’s Singles.—M. O’Connor, Patetonga; runner-up, W. E. Murphy HoPa Women’s Singles.—Miss B. Duffy, Patetonga; runner-up, Miss M. Clotworthy, Turua. Men’s Doubles.—McKay and Candy, Kopuarahi; runners-up, Paton and Morgan, Waitakaruru. Women’s Doubles. —Mrs. F. and Miss M. Clotworthy, Turua; runners-up, Misses Duffy, Patetonga. Mixed Doubles.—A. E. Ludlow and Mrs. Bertelsen, Ngatea; runners-up, C. N. and Mrs. O’Loughlin, Kerepeehi. The prizes for all the handicap tournaments are trophies donated by the association. These will be presented at the annual ball.
