The International Missionary Council Conference has opened at the former Government House, Mount of Olives, and is attended by 230 delegates representing 56 countries. Dr. John R. Mott, in his opening address, said the result of the meeting there should be such a blending of the older churches of the West with the younger churches in the East in mutual w-ork, as had never previously been achieved.—A. and N.Z.
