INTERNATIONAL PACT.—-Greece and Rumania have signed a pact of non-aggression and arbitration.—A. and N.Z. GERMAN ELECTION. —The Reichstag will be dissolved on March 31, and the general election appears certain to be held on May 20.—A. and N.Z. A STRIKE SETTLED.—The Walsh Island strike has been settled. At a mass meeting, the men decided to return to work under the terms and conditions which prevailed prior to the stoppage.—A. and N.Z. DE HAVILLAND WINS.—The Victorian aerial Derby was flown on Saturday. It was won by Major de Havilland. Captain Matthews was second, and Mr. L. Farmer third. Mr. Bert Hinkler took part in the race, but did not finish. —A. and N.Z. TOUR IN THE AIR-—A party of American tourists will fly over Europe in a fleet of 30 airplanes. They will land from a steamer at Bremen. Germany. and from there will visit 16 cities, flying from one to the other. The distance covered will be 2,800 miles, and the time taken will be three weeks. After that the party will return to America. —A. and N.Z. SMUGGLED ARMS.—In connection with the gun-running from the Continent to Ireland for the Irish Republican Army, the Scotland Yard authorities have discovered 56 revolvers and 10,000 rounds of ammunition secreted at the London docks. It is believed that these came from Antwerp, and were awaiting distribution. —A. and N.Z. MOTORING RECORD. —Lionel Rapdriving a-Marmon car, fitted with Kansan tvres. in Paris on Saturday, completed' a worlds' record non-stop drive of 20,000 miles. He made the circuit of the Minima track 6.000 times. He finished 36 hours ahead of his schedule, and then stopped to change the tvres and decarbonise the engine with a view to completing 50,000 miles. A. an dX.Z.-Sun.
