MISSION-WORKER S MEMORY brass tablet unveiled In a house at Kerikeri, Bay of Islands, which is 108 years old. and once the home of Mr. James Kemp..a church layman, who worked incessantly for the spiritual welfare of the Maoris, a brass tablet was recently unveiled. It was a tribute to the memory of a man who had taught the Gospel to the natives in the early colonisation days of this country. The house has never passed out of the family’s possession, and the descendants of Mr. Kemp occupy it today. The tablet was unveiled and dedicated in the presence of Mr. Kemp’s children and grandchildren.
