DISPERSAL SALE of MR J. R. CORRIGAN'S TROTTING STUD OF 51 HEAD. AT HAWERA On TUESDAY, 10th APRIL (Following the Eastei\ Trotting Meeting of the Hawera Club) This stud comprises the best bred collection of trotting stock in the Dominion. It is the result of years of careful breeding and selecting by the most successful owner in New Zealand. In the past decade, Mr. Corrigan has won a total of £.30,375 in stakes, his winnings exceeding those of any other owner by at least £5,000. The whole of his horses in training, including Sister Beatrice, Hostess, The Tiger, Dillon Huon, Mokana, Queen Elizabeth, etc., 12 three-year-olds in work, 6 two-year-olds, 4 yearlings, 13 brood mares, 8 foals, and the stallions Worthy Bingen (own brother to the champion Great Bingen) and The Tiger (own brother to the brilliant Kawhaki) and which comprise the complete stud and team in training, will be sold. All the young stock will be shown in harness on the morning of sale. They are sired by such noted imported horses as Nelson Bingen, Sonoma Harvester, Man O’ War, Brent Bocaiula, El Carbine, Peterwah, Worthy Bond, Real Guy, Travis Ax worthy, First Fashion, Ballin, and those good performers and well bred sires, Worthy Bingen, The Tiger and Gold Bell. Included are full or near relations to the American Champion three-vear-old, Air. McElwyn (1.59£), the New Zealand Champion, Great Bingen, the 1927 Australian and N.Z. Champion, Taraire, 'the triple Cup winner, Ahuriri, the 1926 Australian and N.Z. Champion, Great Hope, and to many other noted performers.
