an outstanding success Satisfaction both with the public attendance at the Auckland Horticultural Society’s autumn dahlia show, and the quality of the exhibits, was expressed by officials of the society at the conclusion of the show last evening. In accordance with the usual practice an informal auction of blooms was conducted at the end of the show. The voting contest was an outstanding success. So many entries were received that it will be at least a week before the results can be announced. Awards made on the second day in the decorated tables class are as follow: —Mrs. Smart, 1; Mrs. Park. 2; highly commended. Mrs. Morley Bell.
