ADOLPHE MENJOU

WILL MARRY IN JUNE CONTRACT WITH PARAMOUNT What was all this chatter that I heai-d about Adolphe Menjou leaving Paramount ? Must have been one of those bits of gossip that start at luncheon and end at dinner. A Hollywood correspondent says: “Anyway, Paramount does not seem to know it, if he is leaving. They are going right ahead -lining up new pictures for him. As soon as he finishes ‘Captain Farriol’ he begins on ‘Super of the Gaiety,’ based on the theatrical novel by Alfred Savoir. Hobart Henley is already signed up to direct him. There is a reason for the popular Menjou’s eagerness to get a few pictures ahead. In June he will marry Kathryn Carver, or Kathryn Hill if you prefer, and of course he wants a honeymoon. He plans to have his pictures so arranged that he and his bride can take a little trip. “Well, even a movie actor needs a little vacation once in a while.”- _
