“by Special appointment to the MUSTARD CLUB Delia by’s Butchers —Auckland At a specially-convened meeting of the Mustard Club last evening, Hellaby’s were unanimously appointed “ Official Suppliers of Prime Ox Beef, Prime Mutton, Pork, Veal, and general small goods to all financial and unfinancial members and non-members of the Mustard Club ” —meaning, thereby, all people who eat, or intend eating, mustard with meat. In putting the above motion, the Baron de Beef, President of the Club, referred eulogistically to two helpings of Hellaby’s beef (roast) that he had had only that day. Miss Di Gester, as secretary and treasurer, said that she had gone into the question of cost, and was quite positive that Hellaby’s prices would meat with the approval of all members. Lady Hearty heartily supported the idea. She had found that Hellaby’s sold the best quality meats at prices that were no higher than anyone else’s. Master Mustard said he would support the motion on the principle of the thing if nothing else. Put to the meeting, the motion was carried by five votes to one. Signor Spaghetti being the only dissenter. He very sportingly admitted that Hellaby’s were out on their own' as butchers, but explained it would hardly be fair to his Directors if he supported an opposition source of food supply. Members are therefore requested to “meat” at Hellaby’s in future. JOIN THE MUSTARD CLUB!
