TABLOID PLAYS
PRINCE EDWARD THEATRE The initial Conroy Smithson tabloid play, “The Unexpected” or “The Hun and the Woman,” will be presented at the Prince Edward Theatre for three nights beginning on March 27. Half of the programme will consist of high-grade Fuller-Hayward films and an hour will be occupied by this comedy-drama, which will be portrayed by an exceptionally talented cast of players. Mr. Smithson, the producer, is an experienced actor with English, Australian and New Zealand experience, and he will be seen in a clever part. Mis 3 Gertrude Esdaille and Miss Nola Caselli, both of whom are favourably known to New Zealand audiences, will be seen in roles that demand first-class work, and two other members of the company are Messrs. Thos. McDermott and Thos. Vivian.
