TENNIS AT TE AROHA

The Te Aroha Tennis Club is spari' ( no pains to make the forthcoming North Island championships an outstanding success. The courts are being specially prepared and every effort will be made to get them as near perfect as possible. Entries have been received already from all parts of the North Island. The best players in Hawke’s Bay, Taranaki, Wellington and Auckland will be present. The tournament is in charge of the Te Aroha delegates to the Thames Valley Lawn Tennis Association, who have formed a strong and energetic committee. The social side is not being overlooked and motor excursions will be run to Arapuni, stopping at Okoiroire and Matamata Springs on the Sunday. On Monday a ball will be held: in the Town Hall.
