WELLINGTON FIRE INQUIRY Press Association. WELLINGTON, To-day. Further evidence was heard in the Magistrate’s Court to-day in the Fire Board’s inquiry into the circumstances surrounding an outbreak of fire which occurred in rooms occupied by Alfred William Phipps, tailor, of 80 Willis Street, on the night of January 4. At the conclusion of the evidence, Mr. E. Page, S.M., that he thought the logical inference was that the fire had been caused purposely and not accidentally. “I think,” added Mr. Page, “that it was caused by some person, but the evidence does not disclose who it was.”
