NORTH AUCKLAND TOUR MANY SCHOOLS VISITED Advantage of his visit to Auckland was taken by Mr. T. B. Strong, Director of Education, to look into several educational questions ih the North Auckland district. Together with Mr. Dunlop, advisory inspector, Mr. Strong left Auckland on Tuesday for Whangarei where the question of adjusting the attendance between Whangarei and Hora Hora Schools was gone into, also subjects in connection with the Junior High School. At Dargaville he went into the question of the disestablishment of the Aratapu District High School. At Ruawai the proposal to consolidate the five schools on Ruawai Flat at Raupo was brought before Mr. Strong, who the proposal with a representative committee. At Helensville the proposed consolidation of the Parkhurst and Te Pua Schools was dealt with and also the question of a new site for the secondary department of the Helensville District High School, which lately has increased very rapidly. To-day Mr. Strong visited Papakura in regard to the proposal to establish a district high school there. He will leave this evening for Wellington.
