LOANS BOARD APPROVAL The Local Bodies’ Loans Boai;d favourably received representations made to it last week by the Mayor amd engineer of the Borough of Takapuna concerning the completion of the main roads in the borough. At next Wednesday’s meeting of the borough council it is hoped to be able definitely to take steps to have a poll on the issue of raising a loan to concrete the gap on the main road at Walters Hill, the gap at Bayswater and possibly the concreting of Sheriff’s Hill Road. All these works are urgent in the opinion of the council. Other issues to be placed before the ratepayers will be the completion of the road around the lake and stormwater drainage in Kitchener and Cecil Roads.
