RAILWAY TRANSFERS
OHAKUNE CHANGES Advice has been received of many transfers of officers of the Railway Department. Changes are taking place, unprecedented in the history of the local railway district, no less than nine local men having received notice of transfer. Following is the list of transfers, the name of the officer’s successor being given in parentheses: Mr. Levick, train running office, to district traffic manager’s office, Wellington (Mr. Reisop) ; Mr. Hawlten, same office, to similar position, Wellington (Mr. Shand); Mr. Johansen, transport officer, to stationmaster, Fordell (Mr. Meyrick); Mr. Grammir, district manager’s. office, to similar office, WiVganui (Mr. Millard); Mr. Smart, stationmaster, Ohakune, to stationmaster, Woodville (Mr. Burnett); Mr. Blackmore, stationmaster, Te Kuiti, to train running officer, Wanganui (Mr. White); Mr. Cording, chief clerk, Taumarunui, to assistant-traffic inspector, Frankton Junction (Mr. Coleman); Mr. Donovan, relieving officer, to shipping clerk, Wanganui (Mr. Hoddenott); Mr. Garrick, goods clerk, Taihape, to stationmaster, Little River (Mr. Collins); Mr. liornibrooke, stationmaster, Otorohanga, to relieving officer, Auckland (Mr. Munro); Mr. Lowe, stationmaster, Mangaweka, to stationmaster, Clive (Mr. Foster); Mr. Francis, Ohakune Junction, to Wellington goods office (Mr. Rowe) ; Mr. Fisher, stationmaster, National Park, ter head office (Mr. Lukas); Mr. McKenzie, stationmaster, Rangataua, to stationmaster, Kai Iwi (Mr. Hurley) ; Mr. Pye, stationmaster, Utiku, to stationmaster, Kaikohe (Mr. Cummane); Mr. Whetton, Hunterville, to head office, Wellington (Mr. Roadley) ; Mr. Hamilton, National Park, to Huntiy (Mr. Milne); Mr. Caughey, coaching foreman, Taumarunui, to passenger and yard foreman, Marton (Mr. Foster), Mr. Harrington, loco foreman, Taihape, to loco foreman, Wellington (Mr. Bryce); tr.
