OVER 200 GIRLS FOR TWENTY JOBS
lONG before the business man was at breakfast this morning a_ queue of over 200 girls lined up outside the door of a big drapery establishment in the city, which had advertised for 20 girls to assist in the shop during a forthcoming sale. The applicants ranged in age from those budding from infancy into flapperdom, to ladies who could look back many summers to the day when they courageously set out to earn their own way in the world. Those who were not in the fortunate 20 will not look forward with any feeling of comfort to the approach of winter.
