SOUTH ISLAND WANTS BETTER COMMUNICATION * Presg Association. DUNEDIN, Tuesday. At a meeting of the Chamber of Commerce this evening the following resolution was adopted: “That the Prime Minister he again approached regarding South Island steamship communication with Australian ports. In the event of no arrangement being made with the existing companies trading with Australia, will the Government protect any proposed company that might he formed to re-establish the service?”
